Am I eligible for this progamme?
This course is most suited to individuals who are at least 16 years old, have a high school education and wish to progress onto a degree at university, or the Undergraduate Level 4/5 Extended Diploma in Management with COTHM Online.
English Proficiency
Candidates who do not have English as a first language will have to demonstrate competence in reading, writing and listening skills in English.
Career Path: This course will develop students’ skills of software development, system analysis and design and programming. After course completion students can get jobs in any public or private this course related IT fields.
Level 4 Module Listing
Module listings for IT & Computing Diploma L4 are given below,
- Computer Systems and Software: In this module student will be able to integrate the understanding of both software and hardware components.
- Computer Programming: Learners will follow the system life cycle and they will use variety of methods and tools in this module to design programs, implement and test them.
- Relational Database Systems: This module will enable learners to understand three major areas including, modelling, data analysis and data base systems.
- Software Engineering: This unit will make students understand the need of software engineering, various techniques and methods.
- Systems Analysis and Design: Learners will learn IS concepts, their relation to organizational needs in context of information transformation and businesses processes in this module.
- E- Commerce Applications: Learners will explore e-commerce role in present world specifically in a business aim’s and objectives identification context. They will particularly learn about the design related issues emerging from the requirements definition.
- Human Computer Interaction: In this unit, students will understand computer and human interaction models and principles through which they can examine present HCI design and principles. This will enable them to plan their multimedia user interface prototype.
- IT and Society: This unit will help students to analyze the trends, changes and impact created by technology on the society. Under this module, managerial issues and expected conflicts in security and data management context will be examined.
- Information Systems Project Management: Students will learn about IT related project management elements, their successful development and execution.
- Management Information Systems: This unit enable students to develop understanding of information systems concepts and about the way through which business needs are supported in context of data and information processing.
Written Assignments
This module has 10 modules level 4 and level 5 each with 10 written assignments respectively. Students can access assignments only after modules completion which will be from 5000 words to 8000 words each. Tutor will support students during these assignments and module completion through the learning platform.
