Am I eligible for this progamme?

This course is most suited to individuals who are at least 16 years old, have a high school education and wish to progress onto a degree at university, or the Undergraduate Level 4/5 Extended Diploma in Management with COTHM Online.

Candidates who do not have English as a first language will have to demonstrate competence in reading, writing and listening skills in English.

University progression

On completion of this course students will have the opportunity to apply for admission onto a full BA Degree programme from a range of UK universities. Alternatively students can opt to study our Level 4/5 Extended Diploma in Management and then go on to complete a BA Top Up at a range of UK universities.

Course overview

The level 3 course is made up of 6 modules and 6 written assignments. Each module consists of 40 guided learning hours of material with an additional 30-50 hours worth of optional materials that comprise of recommended exercises, recommended readings, Internet resources, and self-testing exercises.

1. Managing business operations: Business success relies on effectively managed business operations. Organizations cannot achieve their goals, without effective management. Learners will be able to study 6 different sections in this module and each one of them describes a different business effective management operation.
2. Maximising resources: This module will teach learners about the importance of managing organizational resources properly as if the desired attention is not given to the resources and rational consumption is not made, then it can result into an organizations’ failure to achieve its goals.
3. The business environment: An organizations most valuable asset is to be aware of its internal and external environment as it helps to take right decisions. Managers needs to be aware of parameters that can affect the business environment and opportunities that can help the business to grow.
4. Managing people in organisations: It is believed that to achieve an organization’s mission, it is necessary to manage people effectively. Human resource is considered as the prime resource of an organization; therefore, their satisfaction is important to achieve goals.
5. Working in teams: In today’s world, organizations understand the importance of team work and consider it as an essential element to attain success. Organizations prefer team work to bring the best out of every individual. Teams can either be part of all organizational activities i-e., financial and production etc. or vice versa. In this module, learners will understand the importance of team work in a working environment.

Effective business communication: Effective communication is considered as an essential part of an organization’s culture which is required to exchange information within. This module will help learners to understand effective communication importance and will enable them to learn the ways through which it can be attained in a working environment.

Written assignments

The ATHE Level 3 Diploma in Business has 6 modules and 6 written assignments. On completion of the modules, students will be given access to the assignments. The assignments are approximately 5,000-8,000 words each. Students are provided support on the modules and assignments via the ‘Tutor’ section of the learning platform.
